Indie Mini-Review: Lone Survivor

Hello, from today, every week I will try make mini-review a indie game talking a little about random indie games that I find everywhere. 🙂

Yesterday I was playing a really nice game in the Steam. Lone Survivor. And I will start with this Game. 🙂

It is a very interesting game, with a “simple” and retro visual. This Game have  a great atmosphere of “suspense” and“terror”, especially with the graphic and artistic having  dark and “decadent” design, besides with a blur effect on character sprites and monsters, this game ends creating a impressive air of mystery even stronger .

The atmosphere is very reminiscent of the Silent Hill series, the amazing idea of apply it all to a great survivor, makes the player to start to worry about finding food and ammunition to stay alive.
Lone Survivor despite being a platform adventure, have a nice aspect of exploration, in very open scenario with diverse and amazing surprises that will surely please you.

Oh and the Music/Sound, is just Amazing and fills entirely the atmosphere of the game.

Wyl note: I believe that despite being a pixel art game, I recognize that pixelate a scenario and character may become more hard to work than a normal or stylized art.

Synopsis
“The masked protagonist must escape from a city ravaged by disease, by any means. Starving and exhausted, he has begun to question how much of what sections he is even real. A new kind of adventure where the choice of how to survive is up to you. sneak through without firing a single shot, or kill everything in your path. Eat and sleep well, or resort to drugs to keep going. Search for survivors, or try to escape the city alone. Look after your mental health, or descend into madness … ”
