Microsoft was announced before that was working on a new Age of Empires title, but… Ok, maybe the game is not really “stupid” and maybe the game is good, but again Microsoft is just making a bad use of the name Age of Empires and this time the game is a”Tower Defense” / “Tower Attack” style and is everything less “Age of Empires” from what we know.
In my Opinion Age of Empires 2 and 3 was really amazing games and develop an “Age of Empires 4” keeping the roots from “Ages of Empires “was not really a hard thing to do and certainly would be a great game for Microsoft.
And if you never heard about Age of Empires before:
Age of Empires is a real-time strategy series of games, developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft Studios. The first title of the series was Age of Empires, released in 1997. Since then, seven titles and three spin-offs have been released. The titles are historical real-time strategy games, and their gameplay revolves around two main game modes: Single player and campaign.
Anyway, Ages of Empires: Castle Siege is coming for PC Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 in September 2014.
